We think that one of the most beautiful things that is possible to make through the music is find new friends: since we started our adventure, we met many people and, with some of these, have established a bond that goes beyond common passions for the music, mustache and striped clothes. To celebrate the friendships that music has allowed us to create, decided to invite some of our best friends to remix one of our favorite tracks, "Hate Me" by Roberto Bardini, and publish their interpretations with the ones of Paolo "Muteoscillator" Giangrasso, which has already made us fall in love at the time of its first release: we think each remix perfectly represents the personality of each of our friends and the numerous facets of the House music that we love. So this ep is a gift we have made to ourself. mixes come from muteoscillator / decoside / massimo di lena / snuff crew - marbled vinyl edition! |

On his first vinyl EP for the chameleonic Swiss/Argentinean label Dilek Records, the German producer Marquez Ill presents three original tracks, perfect to make a transition and conquer your senses during these fast-changing times. His rhythmic approach on I'll Kill You Last EP will get you hooked! We know that Dilek Records is a unique label, and that it doesn't release more than two records per year. But we did not know that after a release so bold and transgressive, like the past one was, including the remixed version of a top prize winner of the film industry, it could get out with this strong, but yet subtle vinyl, hard figure to get in a records shop nowadays. Well, Marquez Ill, Tigerskin and Cascandy made it possible. Marquez Ill is one of the label heads at Voltage Musique and is also a respected producer, with many releases of high quality behind his back. Label Managers at Dilek say: "We instantly fell in love with his unique productions! Since we're not sticking to a particular style, but more to tracks that really surprise us, we decided to start this project and finally found the correct moment for it." This EP overflows with Marquez's clear, solid and clean sounds. They can be perfect tracks to listen on a sunset, or on primetime in a club. In these three original productions that accompany the vinyl, you'll find tracks that really come out of the actual producing standards, and Dilek again raises its wings, with material that is definitely not more of the same. This release also includes on the B side, the remix of well-known producer Tigerskin, who delivered a delicate version, by preserving some of the original samples and taking them to a new interpretation of the dance floor. These are current, deep and concrete sounds. There is no waste in any second of this version. Cascandy (alias Andreas Henneberg) also provided a smashing remix, perfect for the peak time. You'll find it as a bonus, together with another orig |

saste001 - various – stellate 1

very special 2 x 10" boxset - non returnable! Stellate 1 marks the start of the Stellate Series: sounds gathered from the experimental frontiers and outer edges of electronic music. For every Stellate release four producers have each created two tracks. The eight resulting tracks highlight four unique minds and the disparate sounds that gravitate together at the periphery. SASTE001 brings together the visions of Lucy, Borful Tang, Perc and Kevin Gorman: yet as diverse as the forms and textures that they use are, something intangible provides a sense of unity. Stellate 1 taps into the place where electronic music-making began. It delves into a liminal Post-War atmosphere where the very fabric of society was being completely re-thought and composers dug into dissonance to explore the essence of making it new. Lucy references this Modernist legacy with track titles taken from Beckett’s bowler hat clad characters in ‘Waiting For Godot’, a play where nothing happens, twice. In Lucy’s hands 'Estragon’ and ‘Vladimir’ are transported forwards to the point where Post-War becomes Post-Riot and where Post-Modernism trickles into nothing more that the Post-Millennium. The optimism of 2000 has faded giving way to a slump where we wait impatiently for Godot. Post post-prefixes you’ll find Borful Tang. ‘Meet The Band’ and ‘The Seduction Ends In Tears’ are somewhere between eyebrow raising and brow furrowing. Oblique to the nth degree and processed into another era the tracks are populated by haunting presences. Created entirely from the debris of the C20th, Borful Tang extracts droning, stuttering dialoguesand remembered conversations that are filled only with regrets. Distancing himself from his instinctively physical approach to music, Perc's ‘Paris’ and ‘Molineux’ lay aside the mores of the dance floor. This is not music that you recognize, categorize and listen to passively: these tracks demand an audience with your inner ear. Perc becomes a so |

Having kicked of 2012 is true epic fashion with his remix of Gui Boratto's "Paralelo", Parquet Recordings boss Normen Flaskamp now readies his next masterpiece under his always impressive Solee alias. Having launched the pseudonym back in 2006, alongside his label Parquet Recordings, Solee has gone on to become a name synonymous with quality uplifting and emotional techno. He has lent his talents to remixing the likes of Nick Warren, Danny Tenaglia and Gui Boratto and has seen his own productions feature on legendary labels including Yoshitoshi and Renaissance. His latest brace of arena shaking bombs for Parquet come in the form of "Zebra" and "Platinum." The A side is not for the feint of heart. Its bubbling bassline and melody are broken by huge cinematic horns before swirling synths usher us along and the horns rise again. More warped, battling synths on the flip as the opening notes of Platinum's 12 minutes ring out. A wah-wah melody paves the way for a dreamy break-beat mid section before he synths drive for home. Early VIP DJ support by Hernan Cattaneo ("Zebra is such a cool track… BIG stuff!! Support."), Dosem ("WOW!!! Platinum is a fantastic BOMB!!!"), Joris Voorn ("Fantastic melodies as always with Solee. Would love to hear these tracks in slightly more subtle production, but that's only my preference, still great work!"), Alexander Kowalski ("That's a cool break in "Platinum". Very solid release."), Craig Morrison - Silicone Soul ( "Zebra is BIG, man... will be playing this for sure! Thx for sending."), Matthias Vogt - Motorcitysoul ("Coolness for the bigger floors. Both tracks working with a great fixture, very compact and elegant."), Mauro Picotto ("Brilliant tracks with great atmosphere.. yes yes YES!!"), Guy Mantzur (2 super tunes, full of emotion and again great work from Solee."), Jody Wisternoff ("Love this!! The single was released in the latter part of "82" it became pick hit of the week in Billboard Magazine in early "83". Both tunes were the first songs ever written by Harold, and his first recordings as a single artist. The early 80's was a time of uncertainty. The economy was in a shambles and male/female relationships were starting to deteriorate, thus why is "A Shortage Of Love" is a pure reflection of the sentiment during those times. Ironically, no one had flipped this record over until recently. The band was a dynamic group of guys called The Brew City Band, with Johnnie Mills on guitar, Tommy Ford on bass, Michael Reese on keyboards, and Leonard Washington (deceased) on drums. The horns were arranged by Warren (Vito) Wiegratz now the leader of The Milwaukee Bucks (NBA) Basketball band. He is also the sax soloist. The background singers were Harold's sister, Charity Marie, his cousin, Cora Kemp, and his daughters, Latasha, and Taneka. This was recorded at Cornerstone Recording studio, a state of the art facility, engineered by David Seibaur. |

After their Ep Silenzio (out of march 2012) presenting a space disco track with sensual vocals in italian and a cover of Robert Palmer's pop anthem Mary & Johny, Theremynt has gone further into his exploration of their pop synth universe with a full CD entitled Space Control. Composed of two individuals, Jan Richard, an ex- drummer who has fallen in love with synthetizers and Eva Peel both a Dj and singer, who had already released other electronic music projects, Theremynt is the result of the duet's common vision of electronic music. They both confess a liking for space disco, krautrock, pop music, 70's, 80's synth composers and even more minimalistic approaches of certain Detroit artists. This album, built like a sonic odissey contains eleven tracks that should enable you to take a full journey into the sound. From Fly to Morrocco up to Philippe K.Dick's Blade Runner tribute (Rachel Rosen), from Gavin Russom's influenced Electric ocean up to cinematic Farewell, the duet has been trying to explore a full spectrum of synthesized sounds without forgetting the dancefloor with other pieces such as Orbital journey or the Force. arr001 - joss - well placed trust

ARTREFORM - being newly invented, this expression has already come in view of the people who aren't indifferent to electronic music. Sure thing, as the labels releasing vinyl in Ukraine can be easily counted on the fingers of one hand. Most of them have already fallen into oblivion having yielded to economic realia, but for ARTREFORM it's just the beginning. The evidence to which is the release from the main project ideologist, Kiev resident Joss. Well-known for his devotion to vinyl and club rhythms Joss has fully embodied himself in his debut plate Artreform. Well Placed Trust is a high quality tech-house with a clear american accent and slash swinging rhythms. The main track of the release was the collaboration of the Ukrainian producer JOSS with the resident of the eminent imprint Bpitch Control, ?haim from Israel. The remix was born almost in a single flash in JOSS Kiev studio during the Chaim's guest tour. Listening to the original has slowly transformed into improvisation with numerous synthesizers to be further turned into a full-scale track. Both musicians liked the result so much that the decision about official release was self-evident. Side B is shared by two tracks equally illustrating Joss's sound. While Deep Way is a full-scale dance stomper, Friend of the Whole World, as contemplated by its name, urges listening in a circle of friends. |
